Private projects include commercial construction for health care and education as well as historical and green sustainable buildings. In public works, projects may be large educational facilities, fire stations, or gymnasiums. Helmer & Sons is experienced with the formal, legal processes of public work, including public contract law, building code standards, bid documents, and bid bonds.
As part of our commitment to providing solutions, Helmer & Sons is adapting by partnering with design professionals to provide Building Information Modeling (BIM). BIM is the process of generating and managing building data during the project’s life cycle. Typically it uses three-dimensional, real-time, dynamic building modeling software to increase productivity in building design and construction. The process produces the Building Information Model, which encompasses building geometry, spatial relationships, geographic information, quantities and properties of building components.
